I'm thinking about taking protein powder, but I'm not sure about how good it is for you. do you guys know anything 'bout protein supplements?

I strongly suggest it! I don't get to have much meat in my diet (only fish)! Though fish is good, I depend on Protein shake before and after workouts and also sometimes during workouts. I squeeze it in once during office hours also. I normally go for GNC but I also like Labrada for its taste and ease of mix. Having just protein shake could be boring day in and day out. I would want to be a bit innovative to make it interesting.

I think Nutrilite's protein powder is very good. I take it too. The frequency and quantity of protein powder intake depends on how active you are. If you're very active, exercise regularly, etc. then you can have it liberally.
